The University of Dundee operates a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. Usually this will involve a company taking on a recent University of Dundee graduate who possesses skills that will be of use, for a fixed period of time. The graduate will both work for your company while continuing training in the skills you require.

In the context of the CORE centre, we are open to receiving requests for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership from businesses. This would involve assigning a Psychology graduate to your company who would liaise between the University and your company. Benefits include:

• New expertise and perspective brought into your company by the KTP graduate
• Access to the even greater expertise of CORE itself through regular supervision meetings
• Access to CORE facilities to address your research needs
• As training progresses, access to an on-staff specialist at a substantial discount on the market rate.

• General consultancy to aid in the development and execution of your research projects
• Programming – the creation of professional level experiments that you can use to answer research questions
• Testing – carrying out experiments on our range of eye trackers.
• Data analysis – generating findings from eye tracking data
• Field work – using our range of wearable eye trackers we can carry out ecologically valid studies in the real world. This is the perfect accompaniment to more rigorous lab based methods.
• Training – we can train your researchers to become proficient in eye tracker usage.

For commercial research the rates are £120 per hour of eye tracking consultancy (including use of the equipment and university staff) plus the cost of recruiting participants (usually £5-£10 per participant). We will always provide an initial quote free of charge and with no obligation.

Education providers receive a substantial discount on the commercial rate for the use of CORE staff and facilities. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
